WHAT YOU NEED
3 balls of yarn (50 grams)
I used Søstrene Grene 100% cotton, and Knitting for Olive Cotton Merino or 100% Merino seems like a good option
+
circular needles matching what your yarn says
I used those ones from Søstrene Grene, 3mm circular needles 60 cm
+
tapestry needle
+
a pair of scissors
HOW TO KNIT YOUR TRIANGLE SCARF
Cast On:
Start by casting on 3 stitches using your preferred method.
Knit the First Row:
Knit across all 3 stitches.
Increase on Every Row:
Begin each row with an increase.
Continue Knitting:
After the increase, knit across the rest of the row.
Each row will grow by one stitch, forming the triangle shape. Keep knitting your first ball of yarn.
Introduce the New Yarn:
Introduce the New Yarn: Take the end of the second ball of yarn. Leave a tail of about 10–15 cm (4–6 inches) for weaving in later.
Start Knitting with the New Yarn: Begin the next row as usual, using the new yarn to knit the first stitch.
Secure the Join: The tension of the first few stitches will hold the new yarn in place. To ensure a clean finish, weave in the tails securely at the end of your project.
Keep Going:
Repeat this process (increase 1 stitch at the start of every row, then knit to the end) until you’ve used all 3 balls of yarn or reached your desired size.
Bind Off:
When you’re happy with the size, bind off all stitches loosely.
Finishing Touches:
Weave in the yarn ends with the tapestry needle.
Block your scarf (optional) to shape it and enhance the drape.

After blocking, my triangle scarf measures 42 cm from the tip to the base, and 120 cm on the longest side.
